This course offers students who are thinking about studying abroad or in and English Speaking Institution the right tools and knowladge to succesfully assume their studies.
The course provides students with work that helps them better understand Academic writing in English, giving successfull presentations and expositions, completing the application process effectivly, and understanding cultural dimentions that make the difference between suriving and thriving in the Academic World.
The course focuses heavily on using the right grammar, synthax and vocabulary that is extremely useful for university life. Particularly, it provides students with understanding of the main concepts that dictate English Acadmic life such as:
-Introduction, Body, Conclusion Layout
-Creating an appropriate Thesis Statment and following the ´Red Thread´
-Understanding and Using the 5 W´s (Who, What, When, Where, Why)
-Punctuation and Cadence
-Speaking and Writing in First Person vs Thrid Person
-Conducting Effective Interviews
-Keeping it Short and Simple
