課程介紹

What is the course about?
The GRE is a test of critical thinking and logic as much as it is a language exam. This course strictly focuses on the Verbal Reasoning and Analytical Writing (AWA) sections of the test. We move beyond rote memorization of vocabulary lists to focus on understanding high-level academic words in context. The course involves breaking down dense, graduate-level reading passages, identifying logical fallacies in arguments, and mastering the specific essay structures required to score highly on the "Analyze an Issue" and "Analyze an Argument" tasks.

Who is it suitable for?
This course is built for prospective graduate and doctoral students targeting highly competitive master's or Ph.D. programs globally. It is best suited for advanced English speakers (B2/C1) who need to drastically improve their reading comprehension speed, vocabulary precision, and academic writing mechanics to achieve a top-percentile Verbal and AWA score.

What materials are used?
  • Official ETS GRE Materials: For authentic reading comprehension passages, text completion, and sentence equivalence questions.
  • High-Level Academic Journals & Publications: Real-world scholarly articles, policy debates, and rigorous essays to practice speed-reading and critical analysis of complex texts.
  • AWA Rubrics & Exemplars: High-scoring sample essays and customized frameworks for drafting logical, well-supported arguments.

What can students expect to learn or achieve?
You will learn to decode convoluted academic sentences and grasp the underlying logic of complex arguments with speed and accuracy. You will build a powerful, active vocabulary and develop the ability to quickly outline and draft highly persuasive, grammatically flawless essays under severe time constraints. Ultimately, you will gain the analytical edge needed to excel on the exam and transition smoothly into rigorous graduate-level research and writing.
