Are you a university student, postdoc, or professor who needs to write articles in English to publish in international research journals?  

For many years, I taught Academic English to postdoctoral students, and I have proofread and technically edited articles for professors around the world. Let me help you improve your writing so that you can clearly communicate your research and ideas to the world… and have your paper accepted for publication more quickly by the editors and reviewers! 

Because the style of writing varies depending on the discipline, it would be helpful if you could let me know your discipline of study (e.g., biology, political science, chemical engineering, psychology, etc.). Are you seeking to publish in a particular journal?  If so, which one?  Do you prefer a particular type of English (British or American)?

If you have a sample of your writing, we can share screens in Skype and work together to improve the text, discussing the reasons for the changes as we go. Or you can send me your writing sample ahead of time, so that I can design a lesson that will teach you the particular grammar points or writing skills that are still causing difficulty.

I can help you choose the right verb tense or use the perfect phrasing for the situation. I can help you make your writing more concise and clearer. Most importantly, I will make sure that you communicate your ideas in such a way that they are understood easily by native speakers. It is important to make a good impression with your writing in the first draft you submit to a publisher. I will help you become the writer in English that you have always wanted to be… and even better!

If you have a particular aspect of writing that you wish to practice, for example, writing abstracts or improving sentence structure, I can design a lesson specifically for that topic. 

This is an advanced writing course that is meant for upper-intermediate and advanced English students. If you are a native English speaker who needs practice with academic writing or grammar, this class would be ideal for you as well.
