The Japanese language is full of expressions that go beyond what we normally use in daily life, for example, dialects and phrases from the olden days.
Japanese thought is partly based on the world of Japanese folklore and rakugo storytelling, which comes all the way back from 300 years ago. Would you like to learn about it through children’s story books?
It will help you appreciate the beauty in the rhythm of the language and enjoy Japanese wordplay.
If you would like to read a specific story, I do take requests.
Please let me know if you would rather read a folk story, rakugo story, something funny, something series, a tearjerker, etc.
