Quiz & Discuss: Environmental Issues

A lesson about caring for our planet 🌎
This lesson is all about taking care of the Earth. We'll be doing a variety of fun activities to help us learn and talk about how we can protect the environment.
- Mother Earth: To start, you'll read a speech by a young boy and choose the correct words to fill in the blanks. Then, we'll talk about what you think of his speech and discuss important environmental actions we can take right here in our own community.
- How Can We Save Our Planet?: Next, we'll read a short text from an essay by a nine-year-old girl. This will also be a multiple-choice quiz where you'll choose the correct words to fill in the blanks. We'll then have a discussion about how the environment changed around the world during the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Earth Hour: If we have extra time, we'll read a short text about this special event where people around the world switch off their lights at the same time for one hour. This will be followed by comprehension questions to check your understanding.
