Voicing: voiceless
Place of articulation: labio - dental
Manner of articulation: fricative
The lower lip and upper teeth makes a contact to produce the phoneme /f/.
It can be represented with the graphemes ‘f’, ‘ph’ , ‘gh’ , ‘ff’
Examples:
Faith, after, graph, baffle, tough, cough, phrase, staff.
