課程介紹

This class is ideal for beginner young students.

Introduction:

I will start the lesson by presenting three puppets. One is called AMARILLO, the other one AZUL, and the other one ROJO. They are three friends that love to play together. Each of them will be talking about the things that we can find in their surroundings that have their colors (e.g., the sun is AMARILLO, the sky is AZUL..) Parallelly, I will ask the students to look and find in their surroundings objects that have these colors and if possible I will ask them to classify them by color. If it is not possible to remove the objects from where they are, we will make a drawing of them on three different categories ( AMARILLO, AZUL, ROJO) On each of these categories I will prompt them to write the target vocabulary by making the sound of each letter so they can create the words on their own.

Development:

Then, I will begin a round of questions in order to prompt them to create hypothesis related to what colors will we obtain if we mix these primary colors. After talking a little bit about that, I will show my students six containers. Three of them will have water and three of them will be empty. With the help of each puppet, I will add a few drops of food coloring to each container with water. I will count aloud with the students the number of drops we are adding of each color until we have one container with yellow water, one with blue water and one with red water. Later, I will ask the student to choose two colors to mix by saying their names aloud. I will use a dropper to mix a few drops of each color in one of the empty containers and I will repeat this step until I obtain all the secondary colors. Every time we create a new color I will repeat the name of each color with a fun melody and TPR movements. The student will need to do the same. At the end of the color mix experience, we will check if the initial hypothesis were true or not. 

I will ask my student to repeat the finding/sorting/drawing/writing activity we did in the introduction of the session but this time with the colors we created by mixing them ( VERDE, MORADO, NARANJA)

Conclusion:

To finish the activity, we will sing the rainbow wong and will create a big rainbow on paper choosing and adding one color at the time and singing the melody for each of them while coloring.
