🕐 Lesson Breakdown
1. Warm-Up (10 minutes) – "Guess the Hobby"
Purpose: Activate prior knowledge & set the topic
Materials: Pictures or slides showing different hobbies (e.g., painting, gardening, hiking, cooking)
Procedure:

Show each picture and ask:
“What hobby is this?”
“Do you like this hobby?” -
Encourage short discussion
2. Vocabulary Presentation (15 minutes) – "Let’s Talk Hobbies"
Purpose: Introduce and practice hobby-related vocabulary
Target Vocabulary (examples):
painting, cooking, gardening, hiking, reading, swimming, playing chess, photography, dancing, collecting, watching movies, playing guitar
Procedure:

Present words with visuals or examples.

Have students match words to pictures or definitions.

Practice pronunciation and stress (e.g., pho-TO-gra-phy).
