Dominant sevenths and an introduction to jazz harmony with a focus on Jazz blues.

So you're interested in Jazz huh?
Cool!
This lesson is going to assume that you have some knowledge of traditional harmony already. That you know the difference between a basic minor and a major chord.
We will look at a typical twelve bar blues and show how by adding tertiary extensions to our traditional chords we can achieve something that starts to sound like Jazz.
We'll be adding sevenths to our traditional triad voicing and looking at how we can voice these in both root and rootless positions.
You'll learn the left hand for a 12 bar blues progression and we will begin our journey towards some improvisation.
In no time you'll be playing like Oscar Peterson.
