Target Learners: Beginners (zero basis)
Ability Goals:
• Understand and express the most basic things in daily life.
• Use the simplest daily expressions properly.
• Be able to make self-introduction, e.g. name, nationality, work and position.
• Be able to understand simple notice in daily life and business occasions, such as time and place for an appointment.
• Use body language and language environment to express personal intentions, and respond accordingly to the intentions of others.
Target Learners: students who have mastered 100 words
Ability Goals:
• Understand and express the most basic things in daily life.
• Be able to describe how to get to a place and the location of an item, e.g. where is a meeting room or where are documents been placed.
• Be able to purchase things or get service from public places like restaurant, supermarket and ticket center.
• Communicate on simple daily and business topics with limited, basic words or common phrases.
Target Learners: Learners who have mastered 250 words
Ability Goals:
• Be basically able to comprehend the simple language materials closely related to daily life, capture relevant information.
• Be able to give a description about the basic daily work, life or social topics, express the basic personal viewpoints and individual needs.
• Be able to understand basic information or short introduction of related companies.
• Be able to make a simple introduction of working schedule and working plans.
Target Learners: Learners who have mastered 380 words
Ability Goals:
• Understand the daily words and requirements in working environment, and conduct simple handling as required.
• Be able to conduct simple statements on familiar things and what happened in work and life, and give a simple reason or explanation.
• Be able to make a simple introduction of one’s occupation, e.g. job responsibilities, scope of work, main business of a company, etc.
• Be able to briefly explain your point of view on the topics of work, such as evaluation of a product and opinions on the future development of the company, etc.
Target Learners: Learners who have mastered 500 words
Ability Goals:
• Be able to introduce the company, the factory and the content of business to the clients.
• Be able to communicate on product quality and after-sales issues, such as return or exchange goods.
• Be able to communicate or express opinions with colleagues on problems at work, such as discussing contract content, product sales and market survey report.
• Be able to hold a basic conversation in business occasions like visit reception, banquets, seeing off clients and other activities.
Target Learners: Learners who have mastered 630 words
Ability Goals:
• Be able to understand important information in letters of credit.
• Be able to introduce the equipment, technique and strength of the company to the clients.
• Be able to negotiate with the partner on price and the method of payment.
• Be able to express personal opinions clearly with certain coherence, and use basic communication strategies.
Target Learners: Learners who have mastered 850 words
Ability Goals:
• Be able to read formal documents like claim letters, contracts, job advertisements, resumes, etc. And be able to get information that one need in those documents.
• Be able to fill in or write formal documents like sales confirmation, sales Contract, personal resume, recruitment advertisements, etc.
• Be able to hold a formal conversation like interviewing new employees or attending an interview.
• Be able to talk about work-related topics, such as trade disputes, evaluating interviewees, company reform issues, corporate culture, business strategies of multinational corporations, etc.
• Be basically appropriate and can use certain communication strategies with some logic and coherence during the language communication.
Target Learners: Learners who have mastered 1350 words
Ability Goals:
• Be able to read important business documents, such as bidding requirements, marketing plans, agency agreements, etc.
• Be able to understand the general points of the other party in commercial negotiations.
• Be able to write formal documents, such as draft contract or agreements.
• Be able to talk about the topics like reporting progress, market research, investment methods and marketing strategies, etc.
• Be able to hold a formal conversation, e.g. participating in business negotiation and talking about key parts of the negotiation, such as commission rate, payment method and terms of agreement, etc.
• When communicating with others, be able to speak Chinese appropriately and use communication strategies effectively, at the same time show logic and coherence.
