In this one time class students will be learning about ocean animals with Sharky the puppet.

In this one time class students will get to learn about ocean animals. Students will learn about different types of ocean animals such as sharks, crabs, sea-turtles, fish, jellyfish, sea horses, and clams. I will use my puppet, Sharky to help teach these things. This will keep students engaged and excited. Students will also get to learn a song about ocean animals.
Students will learn about sharks, crabs, sea-turtles, fish, jellyfish, sea horses, and clams. They will learn to recognize these animals by picture, as well as write them, and write a sentence about each animal.
I will teach about these ocean animals by using Sharky the puppet. He will keep learners engaged. I will also be teaching students a song about ocean animals. I will also show students pictures of these ocean animals to help with identifying. I will write the name of the animals and have students write the word as well. Students will also practice writing the name of the animal in a sentence.
Beginning: Students will introduce themself to the class.
Next: I will introduce Sharky the puppet.
Next: I will play the song Animals In The Ocean for students. I will give them the opportunity to sing along to the song with myself and Sharky.
Next: I will pull out pictures of a shark, crab, sea-turtle, jellyfish, sea horse, and clam. I will review with students what each of them is.
Next: I will have students write the words shark, crab, sea-turtle, jellyfish, sea horse, and clam. I will model for students to copy my writing to help with correct spelling.
Next: I will have students write sentences using each of these ocean animals. "Sharks live in the ocean" " Crabs live in the ocean"....
