Had my second lesson with Akihisa 2 days ago and was very impressed with how detailed feedback he gave me after the lesson. He's very open to answering any questions you may have, such as what a certain word means, how to say a particular word in Japanese, etc. He's so patient and kind when teaching, and adjusts his speaking style depending on your request. For my first lesson, I requested to speak in a casual way, but this time I wanted to try speaking in a more polite way, and it wasn't awkward at all. I asked so many questions but he was able to answer and explain everything in a way that's easy to understand, and honestly the 50 minutes just flew by. I had a lot of fun while learning so much. He's very encouraging and I always ask him to give me corrections, which he does, and I'm so grateful! The PDF file he sends after each lesson is SO helpful. It basically covered everything (corrections when I spoke, new vocabulary, recommended expressions, difference between similar words, etc.) It feels great to have a tutor that makes you feel comfortable when speaking a language that you're learning. I feel so thankful to Akihisa and look forward to future lessons. He's such a good teacher.

The 50-minute lesson with Akihisa went by so quickly because it was so fun! He was able to explain a lot of things to me easily, and the lesson didn't feel stiff at all. He's very patient when you need time to think about how to phrase what you want to say, and excellent at giving examples as to when and what situations to use certain words. One of the most important things when learning a new language is to have fun and feel comfy when using it, and the lesson we had earlier was really great. He's really good at teaching and I look forward to booking more lessons with him.

Though there were multiple times where I had to use English, he always let me finish my thought and then he would teach me how to say it in Japanese. Definitely plan to have more lessons with him :)
