Objective:
 
To provide the student with an opportunity to engage in natural, free-flowing conversation in English.
To improve the student's fluency, confidence, and ability to express themselves in various topics in an online setting.
Procedure:
 
Introduction and Warm-up (2 minutes):
 
Begin the lesson by welcoming the student and briefly discussing the importance of free conversation for improving language skills.
Conduct a warm-up activity, such as asking the student to share their opinion on a thought-provoking question or describe their favorite book/movie. Encourage the student to speak freely and express their thoughts.
Discussion Guidelines (3 minutes):
 
Share the discussion guidelines on the screen or provide a document outlining the guidelines for the session, emphasizing active listening, respectful communication, and encouraging the student to freely express themselves.
Topic Selection (2 minutes):
 
Introduce a list of conversation topics related to current events, personal interests, or any other engaging subjects. Display the topics on the shared document or virtual whiteboard.
Ask the student to choose a topic they'd like to discuss or allow them to suggest a topic of their own interest.
Free Conversation (15 minutes):
 
Engage in a natural conversation with the student based on the chosen topic. Encourage them to share their opinions, experiences, and thoughts on the subject matter.
Actively listen to the student, ask follow-up questions, and provide feedback on their language usage, pronunciation, and fluency.
Take notes of any errors or areas for improvement during the conversation and provide constructive feedback at appropriate intervals.
Wrap-up and Reflection (3 minutes):
 
Conclude the lesson by summarizing the key points discussed during the conversation and thanking the student for their active participation.
Encourage the student to reflect on their own performance and ask if they have any questions or areas they would like to focus on in future lessons.
