The English language has a lot of idioms. These are common everyday expressions whose meanings cannot be easily understood from the exact words used in the phrase. While commonly used and generally understood by native English speakers, they can be very confusing for people learning English. With this lesson, I will teach you about some commonly used idioms, including their meanings, origins, and proper usage. By the end of this lesson, you will hopefully find yourself becoming less confused by phrases like "at the drop of a hat" and "to be off your hinges."
