Who is this lesson for?

This course is specifically designed for pre-intermediate learners (A2 level). It is the perfect choice for those who have mastered the basics and now want to officially certify their skills for study, career advancement, or personal achievement. If you are planning to take the TORFL (Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) exam, this lesson is your primary training ground.

Topics and Content:

We don’t just memorize rules; we train for actual exam tasks. The program includes:

  • Grammar Intensive: Verbs of motion (with and without prefixes), the full case system, and verb aspects.

  • Social Communication: Practicing dialogues for real-world scenarios: "At the Dean's Office," "At the Pharmacy," "Shopping," and "Using Public Transport."

  • Reading & Writing: Learning to write formal notes, apologies, and short personal letters according to TORFL standards.

  • Listening: Developing the ability to understand natural Russian speech at a moderate pace.

  • Teaching Techniques:

    • Exam Format Immersion: We use authentic sample tests and matrices from previous years. You will get used to the question types and the strict time limits.

    • Interactive Simulation: We role-play the "Speaking" subtest where I act as the examiner, helping you build spontaneous and correct speech patterns.

    • Materials Used:

      • Official TORFL-I (A2) sample tests and practice materials.

      • Custom checklists with "life-saving" phrases and key grammatical structures.

      • Audio and video files specifically calibrated for the Basic Level requirements.

      • Infographics and visual aids for complex topics like motion verbs and cases.     

        Required Skills:

        To succeed in this lesson, you should have a foundational knowledge of Russian (A1+ level). If you feel unsure about your current level, don't worry—we will start with a quick diagnostic to identify and bridge any gaps!
