Let's write an essay! This skill is required for any English certificate or study program.
課程介紹
For any English langauge certificate or academic program, you will be required to write texts. These texts need to be structured and organised clearly, so that they are easy to follow and understand, all the while using the appropriate language register. In this lesson I will share my experience as candidate, graduate student and teacher to help you acquire this skill and ace all your essays!
First, we will decide on a topic: What do you want to write about? What is the purpose of your text? Next, we will brainstorm key points of information that you want to include in your text. Once we have all the information, we will organise the ideas so that tehtext structure is logical and clear. To do this, we will use linking words and phrases, which are essential to academic English and will help you connect your ideas, even in every day speech. Last but not least, we will compose our essay. We will also go over some strategies to proof read and take a look at certificate standards to grade our essay.
In this lesson you will lear:

3) How to connect ideas with clear, logical language
4) How to proofread and review a text critically
5) Some vocaulary and grammar points relevant to the task at hand
This lesson is adaptable to most levels, from basic to advanced.
