課程介紹
In this lesson, we will use an English-language article as the basis for a range of English practice.
We will take turns reading the article aloud, giving you the opportunity to work on pronunciation, intonation, rhythm and reading fluency. While listening to each other, we can also work on listening comprehension and understanding the meaning of the article.
As we come across useful or unfamiliar vocabulary, we can stop and look at the words and expressions together, helping you build your vocabulary and understand how they are used in context.
After reading the article, we'll discuss the topic together.
This gives you the opportunity to practise expressing your opinions, explaining your ideas, asking and answering questions, and developing your discussion skills.
Articles can also provide a great way to learn about current affairs, culture and interesting topics from around the world.
This lesson is great for:
- Practising pronunciation and intonation
- Improving reading fluency
- Developing listening comprehension
- Building vocabulary in context
- Improving grammar and sentence structure
- Expressing and developing your opinions
- Developing discussion skills
- Learning about current affairs and different topics
The difficulty and subject of the article can be adapted to your English level and interests.
