Let's learn how to start a simple conversation in English!
课程介绍
This lesson is ideal for beginner students. It is focused on children but it can be adapted to adults as well by changing the puppet activity to magazine pictures.
During this lesson, you will learn how to introduce yourself to others and to provide basic information about you.
Introduction:
We will sing the song " Hello, my name is...... what is your name?". Then, we will read and practice the pronunciation of basic greeting questions such as: what is your name? where are you from?, How old are you? how are you?. Secondly, we will match the written questions in the child's language and English on a worksheet. For this example, I used Spanish as a reference. However, I will modify the activity to the child's language for the class.
¿cuál es tu nombre? What is your name?
¿ de dónde eres? Where are you from?
¿cuántos años tienes? How old are you?
¿cómo estás? How are you?
After matching we will practice the appropriate answers to these questions by writing the answers on a paper and also taking turns asking/ answering them between us.
What is your name? My name is....(Laura)
Where are you from? I am from......(Venezuela)
How old are you? I am.....(5 years old)
How are you? I am......(happy)
Once the knowledge is acquired, we will create a paper puppet ( or several depending on the time that takes to make each of them) The paper puppet will represent a different character than the student. In this way, we will practice greetings in Spanish in different scenarios.
I will suggest to the parents to keep using this puppet and to create more in order to keep practicing and to consolidate the knowledge about the lesson.
