Lesson Description: Talking about the Weather and Seasons This lesson introduces learners to vocabulary and expressions used to describe different types of weather and the four seasons. Students will practice asking and answering questions about the weather, learn common phrases for everyday conversations (e.g., “It’s sunny today,” “What’s the weather like in winter?”), and explore cultural differences in how people talk about seasons around the world. Through interactive dialogues and role-play, learners will gain confidence in discussing daily weather conditions and seasonal activities in English.

 


Learning Objectives: Talking about the Weather and Seasons
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Identify and use basic vocabulary for common weather conditions (e.g., sunny, rainy, windy).

  • Ask and answer simple questions about the weather (e.g., “What’s the weather like today?”).

  • Describe the four seasons and typical weather patterns associated with each.

  • Talk about seasonal activities and preferences (e.g., “I like swimming in summer”).

  • Engage in short conversations about daily weather and seasonal changes with confidence.
