PLEASE NOTE: This lesson is strictly for current students who have already had at least one regular session with me.

Many students assume that TED-Ed automatically generates the study materials for these lessons. That is not true! I have personally hand-crafted this entire curriculum over years of teaching. I hand-transcribe every single video, build the advanced vocabulary lists, and personally write both the quiz questions and the custom discussion questions from scratch to give you a truly premium experience.


Booking Note: This lesson is hosted exclusively on Zoom or Google Meet. There is zero live video watching during our session! You will watch the video on your own before our appointment. Once you book, you get to keep the full text transcript and custom vocabulary sheets forever.


How the Homework & Quiz Work: I know some students dislike taking quizzes, but please don't worry—this is not a school test! My custom quizzes are simply a tool to help me see where you might have had trouble understanding the audio. Checking your answers lets me instantly see what we need to focus on so we can maximize our 30 minutes together.


How to Choose Your Topic (And What Happens If You Book Last-Minute): Once you book, I will send you a private link to my exclusive library of over 100+ custom-built video lessons. You can pick any topic that interests you, from history and science to human behavior and pop culture. Since all of my custom discussion questions are built right into the platform, you will have full access to look them over ahead of time.

  • If you book at least 24 hours in advance: Please message me with your chosen topic so I can send your materials over in time.

  • If you book a last-minute session or forget to choose: Don't stress! I will automatically select a fantastic, level-appropriate video and topic for you so we are completely ready to go the moment our cameras turn on.


What We Do Together During Our 30 Minutes:

 

  • Comprehension, Quiz, & Vocabulary Check: We will review your quiz responses to clear up any tricky parts of the audio—especially looking at any questions that took a couple of attempts to solve. If you wrote short answers, we will work on expanding them so you aren't just giving simple, short sentences, but are actually describing what you heard in rich detail. You can also ask about any words or idioms you want to master.

  • Real Deep-Dive Discussion: Once the vocabulary and comprehension are crystal clear, we will jump straight into the big ideas. We will use my custom question panels to talk deeply about the topic, challenge your thinking, and practice speaking with a natural native rhythm.
