Hello, everybody! Hope you're all having a great week!

As many of you know, there's been a lot happening over the past few weeks: first, we had serious typhoons that caused some flooding, I had my birthday just after that, but then I was quite sick (I was voiceless!) and just yesterday, we had a large earthquake in the Kumamoto area. It's been a wild month!

I had to reschedule quite a few classes over the last month due to sickness and the typhoon; however, I didn't have a single student complain. All of you were incredible understanding and flexible. I just want to take the time to appreciate you all and thank you for your understanding. Some of the messages were very thoughtful and I know it takes a lot of time to write these messages, so don't worry, I see the effort and I greatly appreciate it.

I also just want to take the time to thank all the students who reached out throughout all these events, too. I got some lovely messages during my birthday. A lot of students also reached out to see if I was ok during the typhoons and the recent earthquake. I'm a very lucky teacher to have such kind and considerate students.

Thank you all. I've said a few times but one more time won't hurt.. I appreciate all of you.
