The Cappuccino Shop

Online АнглийскийУрок - The Cappuccino Shop Английский 50 Mins   2,200
"The Cappuccino Shop" is a casual conversation class. We can talk about anything you want or we can just let the conversation flow naturally.   Being able to sit down with friends and hold a comfortable conversation in English can be harder than it sounds. Why? Some people struggle to find the words they need to express their ideas and opinions. When this happens, sometimes the conversation slows down and loses its natural flow. Then, talking feels a lot like work! Uggh!   How can you improve? With practice, of course! Speak as freely as you can. Don't be afraid of making mistakes...that's what I am here for! I will help you fix your mistakes, so you can become more familiar with natural English speech.   If there is anything special you want to chat about, let me know before class :) (News, fashion, foreign culture, travel, politics, business, etc...)   Levels: Intermediate, Advanced-Intermediate, Advanced Language Skills: Fluency, speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, syntax, idioms, slang

All Ears (Quick Class)

Online АнглийскийУрок - All Ears (Quick Class) Английский 25 Mins   1,200
***This class is a quick class. It has been shortened to 25 minutes for busy people! :) Understanding native English speakers is difficult for many reasons. First, they usually speak much faster than teachers in English class. Second, they use vocabulary you may not know yet. Third, the speakers sometimes have accents or use slang. How in the world will you be able to understand them?! Again...with practice!   "All Ears" is a class for students who want to improve their listening skills when listening to native English speakers. Our primary focus will be improving your comprehension of spoken English so you are less dependent on your teachers for answers.   At the start of class, I will present you with a listening sample (50 minute classes may have more than one sample to study). The listening samples may include short videos, video clips, audio clips, or natural reading by the teacher. After listening to the sample, I will ask you to summarize the meaning of the sample's content. I will type your summary while you speak. Then, we will look at your summary together. I will correct comprehension mistakes as well as grammar. We can also discuss any vocabulary that was new to you.   Does this sound like useful practice? Sign up for a class! : )   Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced-Intermediate, Advanced Language Skills: Listening comprehension, speaking, grammar, vocabulary
