English

Hi everyone! I’m Alexandra — a CELTA-qualified English tutor with 12 years’ experience helping adults achieve their English goals. I’m also a copy editor and part-time freelance writer for different online publications, so I love working with words and helping you communicate clearly and confidently. I can’t wait to work with you!

My background

I hold a degree in Music and began my teaching career in that field before my travels sparked an interest in languages and language education. Since then, I’ve lived in four different countries before settling in Spain, where I continue to combine my passions of teaching, playing music, and writing.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with learners from all over the world, both online and in person, each with their own goals and learning styles. I have extensive experience teaching exam preparation and business English, as well as conversational English to help students communicate effectively in everyday situations. But one thing they all have in common? The best way to improve their English skills is through practice!

My teaching style

I believe that learning a language should be comfortable, engaging, and practical—so I design lessons that are clear, enjoyable, and always connected to real life.

In our lessons, you’ll do most of the talking, while I support you with guidance, corrections, and tips to help you speak more clearly and confidently.

I use a variety of real-world materials; photos, articles, and videos, so you’re always learning with content that’s relevant and useful.

If you’d like, I can send the materials before class so you can prepare—but if you prefer a challenge, we can dive right in and explore the content together during the lesson.
