I have worked as an instructor in two settings now. My first job as an instructor was as a Personal Fitness Trainer at a local gym. I completed certification for the position through ISSA, an industry leader in fitness education. I coached and trained at the gym, until traveling abroad to grow my knowledge. I soon began teaching English as a second language online. Working online gave me more time to devote to my study of ESL, and also fitness training as a profession. Going abroad also developed my ability to connect and communicate with my clients. For me, this means better success as a tutor. Students don’t respond to a tutor who doesn’t take some time to understand them, and understand their goals and perspectives. Currently, I teach ESL to clients with all different reasons for learning English. But they all have one thing in common: each one deserves to receive the best instruction possible in their case, so they have the best chance possible to accomplish their objectives, and reach their goals.
