Hello! My name is Renee and I'm an English language tutor. I have been tutoring for four years, and my love of reading and writing led me to study English and linguistics at university. I now have my TESOL certification for teaching English.
About Me
I'm from Oregon, although I lived in Colorado for university and spent a semester in Edinburgh for study abroad. When I'm not teaching, I can be found playing my violin, writing stories, or enjoying a good movie with my friends.

I have spent over four years as a private tutor for various subjects, working on one-on-one with students from a wide variety of backgrounds to help them achieve their goals. I've also worked as a teacher assistant in linguistics and have completed multiple practicums for teaching English as a foreign language.

My Lessons
I believe that all lessons should support the individual student's goals. In our first lesson, I'll ask what each student wants to achieve with learning English and design lesson plans that fit their goals.
For students who want to practice their conversation skills, I offer lessons where we can do just that. If there are specific scenarios you want to prepare for (such as an interview or ordering food at a restaurant), we can practice those, or we can speak about whatever comes to mind.
