Akemii 讲师的个人介绍
Hi students! I am Akemi, a licensed professional English teacher from the Philippines.
Teaching English has been part of my work experience as I have been teaching for over six years now both in online and real classroom setting. I graduated in the year 2013 with the degree of Bachelor's of Secondary Education major in English and took the Licensure Examination for Teachers. I successfully passed in the said exam and made me legible to teach English starting here in my country. I managed to teach Junior and Senior High School students for four years. Likewise, during those years, I had some online classes to young students from China and USA. In the year 2018, I was hired to work as an English as Second Language teacher in a cruise ship wherein I taught crew members of different nationalities namely, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesians and Russians to name a few. Afterwards, during the pandemic, I was sent back home and focused teaching online to kids and adults for 2 years now.
I believe learning a second language takes different methods and learning styles. However, I believe one best way that would be true to most if not all, would be using the language in a daily basis. Constant practice with proper feedback will surely help you to learn the language. Not that simple, but yes surely you'll get there. So if you are not that confident yet in using the language, then I would be more than willing to help you. I will make sure to assess your language needs and tailor the necessary materials for you to improve your skills whether it is listening, speaking, reading and writing. I always vary my teaching styles depending on my student's needs and abilities.
