 I’m 【URI】, a Japanese language coach.

I was born in Hokkaido and now live in Tokyo.
I studied at an international university in Japan, where students from over 100 countries gathered. During that time, I made friends from all around the world. I also studied in Korea for about a year and a half, which gave me wonderful experiences.

After becoming a Japanese teacher, I worked for one year in Okinawa and nine years in Tokyo as a professional instructor at a Japanese language school. I also travel overseas for student recruitment and have met many students from different countries.

 Hobbies

  • Traveling abroad: I’ve visited the UK, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. There are still many countries I’d love to visit!

  • Traveling in Japan & hot springs: I enjoy exploring many places in Japan, especially Hokkaido with its beautiful nature and hot springs.

  • Exercise: I love staying active through gym workouts and running.

Teaching Experience (10 years)

I have been teaching Japanese for over 10 years as a professional instructor.
I’ve worked as a full-time teacher at Japanese language schools, as a visiting lecturer at a university, as a business Japanese teacher for companies, and as a volunteer teacher for daily-life support classes.
With national certification and a wide range of teaching experience, I can support learners with practical Japanese skills for real-life situations.

 Qualifications

  • Completed 420-hour Japanese Teacher Training Course

  • Passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test

  • Certified Japanese Language Teacher (national qualification)
