About me...
Hello! My name is Luke and I'm 32 years old. I'm a native English speaker and I'm currently a PhD researcher specialising in Korean cinema, culture and history.
Through my research, I have learned a lot about Korea! I have also learned some things about Japanese culture along the way.
I love being a student, but now I'm hoping to become your online tutor!
My lessons...
I offer conversational English and Academic Tutoring lessons where we can discuss your favourite K-drama, horror movie or Netflix series!
Whether your goal is to improve your conversational English or to develop your research skills as a student, there are a variety of lessons for you to consider!
My personality...
When I'm not learning or tutoring, I'm also a retro gaming and coding enthusiast!
I'm a huge fan of Korean and Japanese film and TV, including Yeon Sang-ho's Hellbound and Parasyte: The Grey and classic Kaiju monster movies!
What you can expect...
During our lessons, you may notice that I'm a very articulate, gentle and patient tutor.
I conduct my lessons from my home, providing a quiet, welcoming virtual learning space where everybody is welcome!
I know from experience that learning is all about finding a pace that works for you!
We will work together to build on your strengths so that you leave each lesson feeling confident and excited to keep learning!
