Hello everyone!

My name is Tasneem, and I'm originally from Cape Town, South Africa. I now live in London, United Kingdom.

I have been teaching English online since 2021 and have enjoyed meeting students from many different countries and cultures. Before becoming an English tutor, I spent over 16 years working in administration, finance, customer service, and business support. Those experiences taught me the importance of clear communication, patience, and building positive relationships—skills that I now bring to every lesson.

I hold a 120-hour Advanced TEFL Certificate and enjoy helping students become more confident English speakers. My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and focused on natural conversation. I understand that speaking a new language can feel intimidating, so I create a comfortable environment where you can speak freely, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace.

I especially enjoy conversational English because every lesson is different. We can talk about travel, food, culture, current events, hobbies, work, daily life, or any topic that interests you. My goal is to help you sound more natural, expand your vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, and gain confidence in everyday conversations.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, travelling, discovering new cafés, spending time with family and friends, and learning about different cultures. Living in both South Africa and the UK has given me the opportunity to meet people from many backgrounds, and I genuinely enjoy hearing my students' stories and experiences.
