Hello, I’m Mike. Thank you for visiting my profile!

I’m an experienced English teacher and communication coach with over 7 years of teaching experience in Japan, as well as teaching experience in Germany. I have worked with learners from many different backgrounds, helping them improve their confidence, fluency, pronunciation, and ability to communicate naturally in English.

日本で7年以上、ドイツでも英語を教えた経験を持つ英語教師！日本語でのサポートも可能なので、初心者の方も安心して学べます。日常会話、発音、ビジネス英語、面接やプレゼン練習まで、一人ひとりの目標に合わせて楽しく実践的なレッスンを提供します。一緒に、自信を持って自然な英語を話せるようになりましょう！

 

Japan has been a very important part of my life. I lived and worked in Japan for 7 years, and I continue to study Japanese online from England because I believe that learning a language is a lifelong journey. I try to visit Japan regularly and have family connections in both Ibaraki and the Kansai area. These experiences help me understand Japanese culture, communication styles, and the challenges Japanese learners often face when learning English.

 

I have a good level in Japanese, so help explain points clearly when needed and help students understand the differences between Japanese and English expressions.

 

I hold teaching qualifications and have experience not only in language education but also in international business environments. This allows me to support students who want to improve their Business English for meetings, presentations, negotiations, emails, interviews, and working with overseas colleagues.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals. Whether you want to:

  • enjoy relaxed everyday conversations
  • improve your pronunciation and sound more natural
  • build confidence speaking English
  • prepare for business situations
  • practise presentations, interviews, or professional communication

I will create lessons that match your needs and interests.

One of my strengths as a teacher is listening carefully. I believe that good teaching starts with understanding the individual student. I will identify your specific challenges and give targeted advice to help you improve efficiently. Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I will explain how and why you can communicate more naturally.

 

My goal is to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where you feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and improving step by step.
