I've spent years working in customer service and healthcare provider coordination, communicating with international teams and outsourced/offshore staff, so I understand firsthand what makes communication land well across cultures and distance.
Hello! My name is Kristine, and I'm from the Philippines!
I'm a friendly, patient, and easy-to-talk-to person who genuinely enjoys meeting people from different backgrounds and hearing about their work and lives. I believe learning English should feel comfortable, not stressful — so I try to create a relaxed space where you can speak freely, make mistakes without worry, and build confidence one conversation at a time.
I have experience teaching English to Japanese students, helping learners improve their speaking skills and express themselves more naturally. Alongside teaching, I've spent several years working in customer service and healthcare provider coordination — including handling professional correspondence, giving clear instructions under time pressure, and communicating with international teams and outsourced/offshore staff.
That background gave me a real, practical feel for how English is actually used at work — not just textbook phrases, but the tone and clarity that make communication land well with a team, especially across cultures and distance.
My teaching style is conversation-focused and flexible. I adjust each lesson to your level, goals, and interests, whether that's free conversation, pronunciation practice, everyday English, or business communication — including English for managing or working with an offshore/outsourced team, something I understand firsthand from my own work experience. I use real-life scenarios and gentle correction rather than rigid drills, so lessons feel natural rather than like a test.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy creative work like designing simple graphics, which brings a bit of a creative, organized touch to how I plan lessons. I also enjoy learning new things myself — I think staying a student at heart helps me stay patient and encouraging with mine.
