Hello! My name is Lia.
 
I was born and raised in Busan, and graduated from a university in Suwon, Gyeonggi.
(I can speak both standard Korean and Kyungsang dialect. My lessons will be conducted in standard Korean.)
 I am currently working on a media-related business that I own.
 
After graduation, I often visited Japan by myself, and I was deeply impressed by the culture, art, as well as the heritage of the country. As a result, I developed a love for the country itself, and I wanted to communicate with Japanese people.
 
When I was thinking about how to accomplish this, I realized that I really enjoyed interacting and meeting people, and I had also taught Korean to an international friend in the past. My friend had improved their Korean a lot, and I remember having a lot of fun teaching them, so I thought, why not teach Korean?
 
I am also studying English myself, so I understand how hard and time-consuming it is to learn another language, which is also why I thought I could be a good teacher.
 
I’ve been called a bookworm since I was in elementary school because of my love for reading, and I’ve been told that “I have interesting stories to share!” and that “I see things in a new light!” I believe that I am the kind of person who can talk to you in a casual, fun, and entertaining way.

✯ Free talking: Are you worried about whether you are improving your skills because you tend to always talk about the same things?

✯ When I studied English, the biggest barrier for me was, “What if I make a mistake?” I know better than anyone else that worrying about that can make you lose your words. Rather than pointing out mistakes, pronunciation, etc., I would rather help students to speak with ease.
✯ I do my best to be very careful in allocating time so that we can have as much time practicing conversations as possible.
