Hello! I'm Marie, your Korean tutor :D

I majored in Japanese interpretation and translation at a university in Korea, and later studied television production in the UK.
After that, I spent 6 years working in Japan, gaining a wide range of experiences both professionally and culturally.

When I was learning Japanese and English, I studied mostly through dramas and films. That helped me not only understand the language, but also deeply experience the culture behind it.
With this background, I’d love to share the beauty of the Korean language along with its cultural and emotional context.

If you enjoy watching Korean dramas or films, I’ll help you learn Korean naturally—so you can enjoy them without subtitles someday!

Experience
・7 years of experience in video content production in Korea and Japan
・Handled international sponsorships during the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics
・Translated a Japanese children’s book into Korean
・Worked as a day tour guide for Japanese high school students visiting Korea (mainly Seoul)

I have two cats and I love traveling!
I also enjoy discovering good restaurants, and I like playing tennis and swimming.
Sometimes, I relax by knitting or playing games on my PS5!
