Hi, I'm Anamika!
I'm from Nepal and currently living in India. I spent a few years in Japan while doing my Master’s at the University of Tokyo. Living in different countries has been such an enriching experience. I've had the chance to explore new languages, cultures, and ways of thinking. 

My academic background is in science, but I have developed an intense passion for art since 2020. A pandemic time full of uncertainty, and a canceled flight to Japan made me an art enthusiast. Since then, art has stayed close to my heart.

Beyond science and art, I enjoy small joys like indoor gardening, journaling, reading, and traveling. But more than anything, I love learning new things. I didn't mention 'teaching' because, for me, tecahing is a part of learning too. Every time I teach, I learn something new, which is why i feel so blessed to be here on this platform. 

I have started teaching english since 2020 and I am on cafetalk since 2023. Most of my students were and are from Japan and Taiwan,  many are from South Korea and Hongkong and few are from countries like Brazil, Colombia, Argentina etc. Having taught the students from so many nations, I have not only honed my teaching skills but also developed a profound admiration for people and culture from around the world.

My teaching style: My primary focus in our lesson will be enhancing your conversational skills, as I believe language comes alive through meaningful interactions. whether you want to master daily life conversations or need to excel in business communication, I am here to guide and support you. I am flexible and open to talking about any topics or themes based on the student's interest. I will provide grammar corrections and feedback at the end of each lesson. 
In addition to English lesson,I also offer Nepali/ Nepalese lesson, Art lesson, and some other lessons too. 



Some more information about me: 

My passion for art:
As i mentioned, i am an art fanatic. I am a self taught artist, and never took any trainings or courses on arts. When i discovered that i am into painting, i never gave up and i kept practicing and practicing. And guess what?? In 2023, i was able to do a solo art exhibition in Tokyo. And in 2024, i held my second one in Dehradun, India.

I love traveling. 
I know many of you love traveling, and so do I. What I love the most about traveling is meeting new people and seeing the world from their perspective. Besides that, I really enjoy trying local cuisines and experiencing some traditional cultures.
This is a picture from my trip to Seoul. I tried wearing Hanbok in Bukchon Hanok village. I felt so special. It was a great experience.

 

And this picture is from my first visit to Tokyo disneyland. I had so much fun there.
