Benjamin E 讲师的个人介绍
Hi! My name is Benjamin, and I am a violinist, computer programmer, and English teacher, born and raised in the United States.
VIOLINIST
I began studying the violin at age 5, and I was immediately fascinated. For the next 15 years of my life, violin, and classical music, were first, middle, and last. I was lucky to have very good teachers: Anna Tringas, graduate of Bullard and student of Ivan Galamian; Janice Mulfinger, graduate of the Eastman School of Music, and student of Louis Krasner; Daniel Rains, graduate of both the Jascha Heifetz master class and the Dorothy Delay master class and winner of the National Orchestra violin competition;and finally, Eric Eichhorn, 30+ year veteran of the Cleveland Orchestra first violins.
In my own career, I have focused on teaching, and performing in my local community.
COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
I first discovered computer programming at the age of 12. Since then, I've learned multiple languages and had a lot of fun. For me, programming is an intellectual discipline...a way to think about the world.
ENGLISH
I began teaching English in 2011, after moving to Turkey and seeing a need. But I've always loved literature and writing. I actually had an English department try to recruit me as a Print Journalism major! But I've decided to keep writing strictly as a hobby.
So that's a little about me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask !
