Hello! My name is Joy.
I am from America but I have lived in Japan for the past 10 years.
I love to teach and learn new things. My hobbies are photography, cooking, and camping. I love to explore and learn new things.
I have a bachelors degree in Art and a 120 hour TESOL certificate.
I have many years of experience working with children, from a camp counselor to working as a substitute teacher in America. For two years I have taught English online to children from ages 3 to 15. I taught 1 to 1 lessons. The children were beginning to intermediate. I also have two years of experience teaching children and adults English in a classroom. I taught groups and individual classes.
I like to make learning fun and interactive. It is important to me to discover how a student learns best. My goal is to help the student reach their goals. I know what it is like to learn a foreign language, I am trying to learn Japanese. I hope to meet you all soon.
