Hello Everyone, my name is Katie!
I am from Arizona. My family & I lived in Japan for 10 years. However, we just moved back to the States. While living in Japan, I was able to learn a lot about Japanese culture, food and daily living. I taught English most of the time while living in Japan. My husband was an ALT teacher in Yokohama for 10 years, and our children attended the local Japanese school. Both of our children are fluent in Japanese. Even though we are living in America now, they still practing Japanese every day!
As a Native English speaker, I can help you to reach your goals. Since I lived in Japan for 10 years, I'm aware of what Native Japanese speakers struggle with when learning English.
Each student prefers a certain teaching style. I'd like to cater to what suits you best. We can have general relaxed conversation in English or technical career based lessons, or anything in between. A trial lesson is the best way to get to know each other and discuss your goals.
My hobbies include dancing, makeup and skincare!
