Hello! I’m Marycar Rico and you can call me Teacher Mary a passionate and patient English teacher with 7 years of teaching experience. I’ve had the privilege of teaching students of all ages and levels — from young beginners to advanced learners — through well-known online schools platform.
Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to motivate and guide students according to their individual learning styles and goals. I hold a TEFL Certification and have also completed a Specialization in Online Teaching, which has strengthened my ability to create engaging, structured, and student-centered lessons.
Before teaching full-time, I also worked in the call center industry, where I refined my communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills. These experiences taught me how to handle different personalities with professionalism and patience — qualities that now help me connect better with my students.
In my classes, I aim to make learning interactive, practical, and enjoyable. I can teach beginner to advanced English, including Business English, conversational/free talk, pronunciation, grammar, and even topics like travel, culture, and history depending on what interests my students most. I always make sure to create a relaxed and encouraging learning atmosphere where students feel confident to express themselves.
Outside of teaching, I’m an adventurous and creative person who loves traveling, reading, and exploring new cultures. I also enjoy baking during my spare time — it’s my favorite way to unwind and share something sweet with others.
