Hello from Mrs.T
As a conversation coach, I have been teaching online exclusively since 2019 and I enjoy it immensely. I am an avid reader and tailor my classes around the reading of novels together. We read aloud. Within that framework, I coach grammar and reading/listening comprehension as well as vocabulary expansion. Creative writing is part of each class. Throughout the class, conversation is given top priority.
My classes are relaxed and geared towards student interests.
As a proofreader, I have over twenty years of experience. Part of my service is giving supporting verbal and written explanations of any suggested changes.
I absolutely love reading, so I'm also offering Time to Read with book reading sessions. Reading articles, magazines, short or long novels - these are all essential to learning any language.
Montessori Education is my background and I attained my ESL, TESL and TESOL certification after being approached by a parent to coach a family member. I loved it so much and was thrilled hearing my student gain fluency that I applied for the special training.
I am a writer and novelist. I enjoy writing mysteries, family and travel stories. So, perhaps you may find The Writing Hour helpful in your journey to English fluency.
I live in Canada. My hobbies are many. I enjoying walking in the countryside near me, reading, handcrafts like sewing and knitting, painting with water colours, gardening, singing in a choir, learning Welsh and travelling.
