Keeley Smith 講師的自我介紹
Hi there. My name is Keeley Smith and I am
a native English speaker from London, England. I have been teaching since 1999 and have worked for some of the biggest names in language learning. I started teaching English in Osaka, Japan in 1997. I worked in a kindergarten and school setting as an English language assistant. I also taught adults business English.
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and decided to study for a TEFL certificate on my return to England. I gained this in 1999. I then worked in Germany and Singapore. I worked in language schools that specialised in business, general English and exam preparation courses for students from age 16-80. I then returned to London where I worked for a very large business English language school in central London. I worked with groups and individuals from large corporations. I designed courses and materials whilst in this position. I also worked for a language school that specialised in teaching students from Japan, Korea and China. This was mostly exam preparation and one to one classes.
I then settled down and took a break from work and had 3 children. I now live my husband, children and guinea pig (!) in a small town to the north of London. I decided to start back to work 6 years ago and started teaching online. I have worked for online language companies - teaching groups, individual, exam, business and children classes. I have also made many friends throughout this time!
I have a BA from Humberside University , a TEFL certificate from MultiLingua England and I have completed many career development courses throughout my teaching, including IELTS , TOEFL teaching courses.
With this extensive experience, I have gained a valuable insight into the common problems that students face when learning and speaking English.
My classes are relaxed and I see my role as an English coach, helping students to improve their speaking and conversation skills and preparing them for the IELTS exam, resulting in them feeling more confident in their ability.
I give constructive feedback after each class and am always happy to answer any questions in between classes via email.
I will not make any crazy promises at the start of our classes together, however what we will agree together are some very clear objectives for your sessions. I am reliable, punctual with many years of teaching experience and have lost count of the many happy students/friends I have worked with!
My main hobby is taking my children to their hobbies! When I have time I like to learn Spanish, watch my favourite football team play
(West Ham Utd), go running and I love doing yoga! I also go the theatre whenever I can.
