Hello! My name is Joanne. I am from the Philippines.

I am a 31-year-old Licensed Professional Teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and I am TEFL certified. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience both online and offline.

I worked for 4 years in a Korean-owned English academy, where I taught students from different age groups ranging from 5 to 60 years old. During this time, I handled various classes such as conversational English, grammar, pronunciation, reading, and speaking practice. Teaching young learners helped me become creative, patient, and energetic, while teaching adult students improved my ability to adjust lessons based on different goals, personalities, and learning styles.

In addition, I have more than 6 years of experience as an online freelance English teacher. Working independently allowed me to master lesson preparation, student evaluation, and personalized teaching methods. I became skilled at identifying students’ strengths, weaknesses, and learning levels to create lessons that fit their individual needs and goals. I also gained experience teaching students from different countries and cultural backgrounds, helping them improve their confidence and communication skills in English.

Outside teaching, I love dancing, watching movies, and exploring videos about different countries and cultures. I enjoy meeting new people and having meaningful conversations, which is why teaching English is truly something I am passionate about.

My teaching style is fun, interactive, supportive, and student-centered. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, motivated, and encouraged to express themselves confidently.
