Hello! I’m Yoko, a Japanese language teacher.
 
Do you ever feel that you are studying Japanese on your own but not making much progress? Would you like to have natural conversations in Japanese or learn which expressions are appropriate in different situations?
 
I look forward to learning Japanese together with you in a fun and supportive environment.
 
My lessons focus mainly on conversation. When needed, I also provide helpful feedback on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and more natural expressions.
 
My lessons are ideal for people who:
 
Want to speak Japanese naturally and confidently
Are interested in Japanese culture and life in Japan
Want to enjoy Japanese not only for travel or work, but also as a hobby
Prefer a relaxed and comfortable learning environment
Are looking for a teacher they can learn with over the long term
One of my hobbies is ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement. Ikebana reflects Japan’s appreciation of the seasons and sense of beauty. By learning not only the language but also the culture and ideas behind it, Japanese becomes more familiar and enjoyable.
 
There is no need to be afraid of making mistakes. Speaking as much as possible is one of the best ways to improve your Japanese.
 
I studied literature at a junior college and hold a teaching certificate for English at junior high school level. I have also supported foreign teachers at an elementary school and taught English to Japanese adults.
 
I value creating a comfortable atmosphere where each student can speak with confidence. I can also support you in English and communicate at a basic level in Spanish and Chinese, so you can feel at ease even if you are not yet comfortable using only Japanese.
 
I will support you throughout your learning journey so that you can discover a new world through Japanese and express your thoughts in your own words.
