Hi! I'm Rachel and I teach English and Biology - focusing on English conversation and molecular/human biology.
I studied a bachelors in Biochemistry at the University of Bath followed by a PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I specialised in certain aspects of molecular biology including epigenetics, gut bacteria and metabolism. I have just spent a year in Japan working as a ski instructor, researcher and travelling in Japan. I'm currently living in the UK, but love learning more about Japanese culture and language.
I love learning languages and in doing so I have come to better understand my own language and what can be challenging for students who wish to learn English. I would love to chat with you in English on a topic that interests you!
I'm really passionate about Biology and would love to share all of the interesting things that I have learnt about how the human body works and more! If you are interested in a particular area of Biology please let me know and I can make a lesson suited to you!
