Natalia Evnitskaya 讲师的个人介绍
Hello! I’m Natalia.
I’m a university teacher, teacher educator, language specialist and researcher who has spent much of my life moving between languages, cultures and educational contexts. Born and educated in Russia, I later moved to Spain, where I completed my PhD and built my academic career over twenty years. I now live in Japan. For me, languages aren’t simply a subject of study or work; they’re part of everyday life and how I experience the world.
I have over 15 years of university experience teaching, both face-to-face and online, and an academic background in English Studies and teacher education. My fascination with languages and intercultural communication has led me to work in areas such as English language education, applied linguistics, CLIL, bilingual and multilingual education, and teacher professional development. Alongside teaching, I’ve supervised MA and PhD research and supported students and researchers with academic writing, conference presentations and research communication.
So, what can we do together?
Spanish & Russian conversation and reading
If you’d like to practise Spanish or Russian in a relaxed, natural way, we can talk about everyday life, travel, culture, current topics or whatever interests you. We can also use an article, story or other text as a starting point for reading and discussion. Our sessions will be flexible and conversational, following the topics and ideas that genuinely interest you.
🎓 Academic discussions & research in English
If you’re a university student, researcher or academic who’d like to discuss your ideas and research in English, we can do exactly that. We can talk through your research, practise explaining your ideas clearly, work on academic communication, or discuss your field with someone who understands the academic world. My areas of expertise include English language education, applied linguistics, CLIL, bilingual and multilingual education, and teacher education.
🎤 Conference presentations & Q&A
Preparing to present your research at an international conference? We can work through your presentation together, practise explaining your ideas clearly and confidently, and anticipate possible questions from your audience. We can also practise the Q&A itself, giving you an opportunity to discuss your ideas in English before the real thing.
🌍 Living and studying in Spain
Curious about what it’s really like to live in Spain? Having spent twenty years there, from my student days to building my academic career, I’d be happy to share my experiences and perspectives. We can talk about everyday life, Spanish culture, university life, and the little things you might not discover in a guidebook. We can have our conversation in English or Spanish!

I adapt our sessions to your interests, goals and needs. Whether we’re discussing a topic you’re passionate about, exploring your research, practising for a presentation, or talking about life in Spain, I aim to create a relaxed, supportive space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself, asking questions, and exploring new ideas.
I combine the experience and expertise of a university educator with the relaxed atmosphere of a conversation with a genuinely curious person.
