Hi, I'm Ami! I'm Japanese, born and raised in Vancouver, Canada. Fluent in both English and Japanese. My hobbies include singing, songwriting, making Youtube videos, and traveling. I spent over 3 months of 2022 in Japan - traveling solo!


I spend almost all of my free time singing and filming videos (in both Japanese and English!)


I have been a tutor for nearly 3 years, teaching English and ukulele to Japanese children. I also have 9 years of experience as an assistant teacher at a Japanese school teaching music and Japanese to children ages 1 through 10.

 
My goal is to help English and Japanese learners casually practice their speaking skills such as pronunciation and grammar. I look forward to having a fun conversation set at your comfort level and pace. Beginners are welcome!
 
★What our lessons will look like
A casual conversation, almost like you're talking with a friend :) As we chat, I'll share with you phrases and slang that natives commonly use. My goal is to help with the flow of your conversational English and sound more native and/or natural.
