My name is Sylvia Guinan. I'm a qualified English teacher from Ireland with over 20 year's experience. I have a BA degree in English Literature, history and a Higher Diploma in Education as well as T.E.F.L qualifications.

I've been teaching online for ten years. I decided to teach online ten years ago when my twins were born. I have four Greek/Irish children, I live in Greece, and I usually work at home when my children are at school.

As an online English Teacher I specialise in exams preparation, business English, and fluency development at all levels . I do this through a creative task-based approach that allows students to excel on multiple levels.

I have prepared students all over the world for:

  • English examinations: Cambridge, Michigan, IELTS, TOEFL. 
  • English for Academic Purposes. 
  • Business English. 
  • General English. 
  • Travel & tourism. 
  • Interviews.  I also love blogging about education, designing multi-media lessons, speaking at conferences and webinars and learning more about educational technology. 
    • When I not teaching or blogging I love to read, write, cook, enjoy the outdoors, keep fit, enjoy movies and spend time with my children.
    I'm passionate about my work and passionate about helping you.
