Hi! I’m a personal trainer based in Japan with about 7 years of one-on-one coaching experience.
I’m also a certified Athletic Trainer with the Japan Sport Association (JSPO-AT), and I created Train in Japanese — a lesson where you practice Japanese while doing personalized bodyweight training.
Learn Japanese. Get Stronger.
I’m often told that I don’t feel like a typical personal trainer.
My style is casual and friendly, and I focus on helping people feel steady progress and enjoy continuing over time.
I have been training for more than 10 years, and I especially enjoy bodyweight training. I like it because progress is not only about adding more weight — you can unlock new movements and skills.
I can do one-arm push-ups and single-leg squats, and I’m currently working toward a one-arm pull-up.
I started studying English after meeting an American client who was seriously studying Japanese while also working hard in training.
Seeing that made me want to communicate better, so I began learning English myself.
I also started studying vocabulary during my workout rest periods, and that gave me the idea that language learning and training could work well together.
That idea became Train in Japanese.
Listen → Understand → Move → Speak
I believe the most important thing in both language learning and fitness is consistency.
If you can enjoy the process and feel small improvements, it becomes much easier to keep going.
You do not need to be fluent in Japanese or experienced with training.
I adjust both the Japanese difficulty and exercise intensity to your level, and I can use simple English, gestures, or translation when needed.
My goal is to create a positive part of your day — a chance to move, speak Japanese, challenge both your body and mind, and feel that you are making progress.
I look forward to training and speaking Japanese with you!
