Hello, I am Joey!
I have always been interested in languages and have studied communication courses related to Chinese at university.
In the past year, I have had the privilege of mentoring several international students learning Chinese, and through this process, I discovered that I enjoyed teaching Chinese!
Although I do not currently have an official certification, I can explain vocabulary and expressions to Chinese learners, guide them to express themselves more accurately and fluently, and share my culture with them, all of which I find very enjoyable.
I can help Chinese learners gradually and fully understand the language they are learning, and help them use the langauges more smoothly in their lives, which is something very gratifying.
I will choose the appropriate lesson pace and materials for a relaxed yet efficient learning experience.
You can learn Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese, or use either Chinese Pinyin or Taiwanese Bopomofo to learn from.
**I understand some basic Japanese, but I cannot communicate in Japanese, so my lessons will be conducted in Chinese or English. I recommended my lessons to students who are at level B for Chinese or above, or those who can use English for learning.
In my lessons, you can:
- Practice basic daily conversation skills
- Explore various social topics
- Learn and understand the origins and meanings of Chinese idioms to help memorize them
- Receive timely corrections from your tutor, and suggestions for clearer expressions that are more commonly used by native speakers
- Use various interesting learning materials
- Study and prepare for exam questions
