Megu. I 講師的自我介紹
[Introduction: About Me]
Hello! My name is Megu! I am a Japanese teacher. I have lived in the United States for 1 year and in China for 11 years.
I have taught Japanese for two and a half years at the Japanese Department of some Universities in China, mainly focusing on Japanese conversation, listening comprehension, and writing. While I was in China, I also gave private lessons tailored to the individual needs and preferences of students ranging from elementary school children to adults.
After returning to Japan, I completed a 420-hour Japanese Language Teacher Training Course.
My original academic background is in cultural anthropology. I have Ph.D. I love talking about Japanese culture and cultures around the world. I can also help with Academic Japanese, structuring research papers, and writing guidance etc., limited to the students who has a background in the humanities.
I love cooking and traveling! I enjoy trying food from various countries and cooking it by myself. When I have a time, I mainly travel around Japan, but during long holidays, I go abroad and enjoy communicating with local people and experiencing the local culture.
[My Lesson Style]
My lessons are customized to fit each student's needs, preferences, and requests.
First, in 15-minute Trial Lesson, we will introduce each other and discuss what you would like to study with me. If you would like to continue taking my lessons, we will discuss more and plan your future schedule together.
My lessons are basically conducted entirely in Japanese. I can explain some in English and Chinese, but I will only use them when you are truly stuck. Please do your best to speak in Japanese—any level of Japanese is totally fine!
Students of all levels are welcome.
Please don't be nervous at all during the lessons! I strive to create a relaxed and fun environment. If you don't understand something, please feel free to say so clearly.
