Ed Hayward 講師的自我介紹
Hi. My name is Ed Hayward. I'm from the United States but moved to Japan in October of 2024. This is my fourth time living here and altogether I've lived here for 10 years. My wife is Japanese and I have 3 children who are grown. I speak fluent Japanese.
I have a BA from Brigham Young University. I took a break from University and taught English full time in Osaka. I taught for 2 more years part time and taught beginning Japanese part time for 3 years. Also, a good part of my career has involved training and mentoring.
I've worked as an Executive Recruiter and Business Consultant for 30 years. My business has always been with Japanese companies or companies who do business with Japanese companies. Some of these companies have been large such as Bridgestone and Kraft-Heinz, as well as smaller startup companies.
Because of my background in business consulting, my approach to teaching is to first understand what problems you need solved by improving your English conversation skills. Then we will tailer our lessons around your needs. My goal is that you will have measurable improvements in achieving your goals due to the progress we make in your English conversation skills.

I took a break from University and taught English full time in Osaka. I taught for 2 more years part time and taught beginning Japanese part time for 3 years. Also, a good part of my consulting has involved training and mentoring.I also enjoy teaching students and non-business adult lessons and my approach with them will be the same.
